Curtains can either make or break a room’s decor. They frame the window which is your access point to the outside – a portal to the environment of your home. Here are Amijoh Interior Designs solutions this year (so far):

If you are going for a clean modern look, curtains with fancy pleats and an over-the-top pattern could ruin all you have tried to accomplish. At Anijoh Interior Designs, we like to think of curtaining in three categories, natural, plain or blingy.

When we say natural we are not talking about botanical prints – we are talking about natural fabrics such as linen or cotton maybe with a non-fussy relaxed weave, which gives your home an earthy, homely feel. We would then add a pole or rail to the top to complement this by recreating nature with natural woods or even possibly a satin steel (our favorite being a black Parisian rail).

Simple doesn’t have to be boring. Solid colours and neat weaves give a polished, clean look to any interior. For the rails and rods we could possibly look at doing stainless steel poles or even possibly a ceiling fix to create a non-fussy yet sophisticated look. And then of course there is the blingy look, something to add a bit of flavour to an otherwise boring room, be it a pattern or a fabric with a sheen. Blingy does not have to look cheap and nasty, on the contrary if you think that your idea of home is closer to living in a boutique hotel, then this is for you.

We have pelmets that can add color, or a bit of shine with either metallic end caps, maybe even a crystal finial for a super luxe look. For a modern finish to any of these three styles we can do a motorized curtain to make you feel like the jetsons or the newest curtain style – The Wave – which is a tape with an ‘S’ bend at the top where there is no pleating which creates an eyelet feel without the eyelets. Still not sure? Live in Pretoria, Centurion,Johannesburg’s, Midrand, Bryanston, Randbueg, Fourways, Sandton etc.? Give us a call, we have you covered.
